Zachary Brooks is originally from Texas and fell in love with the mountains and different seasons here in Idaho and never left. Zachary achieved the rank of Sergeant E-5 and served four years active duty and four years reserve honorably in the United States Marine Corps, serving on the USS Anchorage, and was a part of Operation Inherent Resolve. Zachary completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and received his diploma from Brigham Young University –Idaho and completed his Master’s degree in Social Work and received his diploma from Northwest Nazarene University.
Zachary believes in empowering people to promote growth and positive change. Zachary uses a non-judgmental approach to promote a comfortable atmosphere so that individuals, couples, and families feel that they have an ally on their side. Zachary provides therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Change (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Zachary is level one Gottman couples therapy certified. Zachary is GAIN certified and specializes in Addiction and Trauma recovery. Zachary Provides individual and group therapy. Zachary believes that healing starts with practicing self-compassion and unlocking the full potential that everyone has to make the change needed for recovery.
