Dalton has completed her master’s in counseling degree from Ottawa University with a specialization in trauma and abuse.
Dalton’s area of specialty lies in working together to heal the wounds created by shame that impact self-esteem, self-worth, and self-efficiency. Dalton believes in the importance of not only developing coping tools, but in working together to address the deep-seated beliefs that fuel discomfort.
Specific areas of focus include working with adults who have underlying trauma that has resulted in mental and/or physical symptoms including addiction, heightened anger, anxiety and depression.
Through warmth, unconditional empathy and the incorporation of clinical competencies, Dalton works to create a connected and safe space to explore your journey in depth while empowering your ability to identify and address the barriers to living your most authentic life.
The treatment approaches used may include CBT, Inner Child Work, EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness. The approach used is always geared towards what works best for you.
Dalton is currently only working with Medicaid substance abuse clients and private pay as she will be obtaining her license in April 2021.
