Ben Wells

RHS Program Development, ATR Program Coordinator

Ben grew up in east Idaho and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health at the University of Idaho and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education at Idaho State University. While teaching at an alternative high school, Ben developed a passion for working with at risk youth, and began working in social services in 2011. Over the past 10 years, Ben’s passion to serve high risk individuals in both their mental health and/or substance abuse recovery has continued to grow. In 2017, Ben became the Program Coordinator of the Substance Abuse Treatment Program for Club, Inc.

In 2018 Ben became the co-owner of Addiction and Trauma Recovery Services and served as the Program Coordinator/Quality Assurance Director through December 2020. In January 2021, Ben began working in Program Development with RHS, and now serves at risk individuals through advocacy, raising awareness, creating educational opportunities, and developing new strategies to improve our communities’ health.

Ben loves the relationships and partnerships he has been able to develop and maintain throughout his time working with this population and has a strong desire to improve the lives of underserved individuals and our community. Ben is the proud father of five daughters, two sons and one lab. He enjoys coaching his children, and being active in community recreation programs.

Ben spends as much of his time as possible outdoors skiing, rafting, hiking etc. with his family, and tries to take advantage of all that this amazing area of the world has to offer.
